Tomorrow will be the last performance i’ll ever do with the 2010-2011 Marvels. They were my first junior team and they will be my last. It’s amazing how fast time has progressed, how much the team have all progressed as dancers. The growth i’ve seen in myself has been phenomenal as well. The dancer i am today is because of my ambitious directors and encouraging friends. It is because of Marvels that I am making my decision to dedicate the next few years of my life to the dance community. I’ve become addicted to the competition season. I center my life around rehearsals and performances. I spend hours practicing and perfecting. I live for this team. I’m so happy i was able to share this experience with everybody on Marvels. 

I have to give a special thank you Trevor Barata, my Marvels Captain. aka “El Jefe” 

He’s taught me how to count. He’s driven me all over the place. He motivates me to become a better dancer. He’s been a leader to me. 

So tomorrow, at the Home Depot Center, in Carson; when i step on that stage, I’ll know that the people who share the stage with me are not only my friends, but my team mates, but most importantly… my family. 

I love Marvels Dance Company.
